This evening was the celebration of 30 years of the ballet of Godoy Cruz. As “public figures,” we were invited to the event. It was supposed to begin at 8:00 PM. Perfect.
We arrive at the Plaza Godoy Cruz at 8:00 PM on the dot to find out that they will not begin the event until a little later. Why? Not because it was slightly drizzling. Not because there was an event in the theater and the township wanted to wait until it finished to have more people come to the celebration. Not because the mayor was not present. But, because we were waiting for the Tomba (Godoy Cruz’s soccer team) vs. Boca (one of the national soccer teams from Buenos Aires) to finish. 9:45 PM comes around and we were finally allowed to begin. Great. Only in Argentina.
K bye.
