There is a global problem.  This global problem has been around for quite a while.  This problem is daily television news and the people who stay at home watching television news…all day.  These people usually include, not to offend anyone at all, elder people, particularly grandmothers.

It is totally fine to watch news. No problem at all to be informed. Although, there is a limit to the amount of TV one can watch.  Particularly news. TV gains an income based on reaching a person’s attention.  Usually, what happens with watching news all day, particularly the news the broadcasting companies project during the day and at night, involves the stories of the (rare cases of) kidnaps, assaults, house robberies, house fires, conspiracies, etc. A grandmother of, say, about 79 years old who is in her apartment all day watching this news, she will incessantly call and text you in order to make sure you are not under hostage, siege, in flames, or that someone is not stalking your every move.

It is definitely kind and feels good to have someone care about you so much.  However, the news that is consistently feeding their minds is the rare cases that, yes, when culminated together are many occurrences.  Yet, amongst the population of the world, these occurrences are only a small percentage.

We are fixated upon the negatives and bad things that occur, particularly based on what we are exposed to on TV that we forget about all the incredibly great things happening— all the people saving the world, the births, the weddings, the research being conducted for the sake of humankind.  Or, if we like to focus on the negatives, robberies and kidnappings are not as important as world hunger, the extinction of animals, the disappearance of natural resources, HIV/AIDS, and the fact that we do LIVE life…we just work for it.  I don’t know about you, but I am content with never watching news, focus on what I read, and live my life being conscious of the well-being o others.

K bye.
